According to a United States 2022 remodeling report, bathroom redesigns take the lead for the most popular home renovation project. In that same report, California bathroom conversions hold a high ROI. If your lavatory is worth the investment, it could increase your home value by 3%! In this post, we’ll dive into the various types of bathrooms Grace Blu has designed. Each holds a flare that reflects our skill and our client’s vision.

We highlight different styles from contemporary, traditional, and elegant spaces. From modern to bohemian, coastal to art deco, we’ll showcase different design styles, noting key features and offering tips and ideas to help you create the bathroom of your dreams!

If you’re following Grace Blu, this is not the first time you have heard of our most recently completed Charlotte project. This kids’ bath has hints of art deco through our tile choices. This design style features bold geometric shapes, luxurious materials, and vibrant blue for playfulness! Using porcelain is a cost-effective way to add visual interest while using a very durable material. We recommend choosing porcelain tile if you want variety and something easy to maintain.

Our Via Jucar project is an example of a contemporary Spanish bathroom design. We mixed traditional elements with reinvented modern style. We mixed concrete, natural wood tones, and neutral color schemes to create a timeless Spanish vibe. Bringing in details like this deep tub and glass chandelier brought a sense of luxury into the space without feeling too formal.

Park Avenue’s coastal contemporary design emphasizes simplicity with sleek and minimalist fixtures and accessories. Choosing neutral colors such as grey and beige tend to soothe the senses and accomplish a clean look. One of our favorite things to add interest in a small space is to repeat patterns such as the floor and add texture from the woven baskets to the walls.

For our true traditional classic fans, our East Bay Front project features classic elements such as ornate fixtures, detailed millwork, and rich colors. We brought in dark paneling for a sleek sense of richness and added traditional silk wallcovering to lighten up the space and balance out the masculinity of this powder bath. Adding precious wall sconces creates ambient lighting and interest. This powder bath sure makes a statement.

Another glimpse of our Charlotte project shows the power of light and neutral color schemes to make a small bathroom appear larger and brighter. Consider using shades of white, cream, beige, pale blue or green, and other light hues. Oh, and to get a more playful look, don’t be afraid to add a few pops of color, as we did in some of the wall tiles. We pulled compliments of existing tiles for the flooring to create a cohesive, appealing look.

Our Rodeo Road powder bath needed to speak modern yet sexy! We accomplished this by using reflective surfaces such as mirrors, glass, and glossy tiles to help bounce light around the room and make it appear brighter. Consider adding a wall-to-wall mirror and shiny accents to create visual interest. Adding wallpaper in a small space is a great way to make a significant impact. This wallpaper from Valhallan is a hand-painted wall covering that adorns a metallic color with tiny glass beads. It truly is the finishing touch that makes this space so unique.

There are countless ways to make your bathroom remodel special to you. Ultimately, creating a functional and visually pleasing space is the key to a successful bathroom design. So, take your time to explore different styles, textures, and colors, and don’t be afraid to get creative! With some inspiration and careful planning, you can create a beautiful and functional bathroom that you’ll love for years to come.
